VCOG Members

 

All towns and cities within the Region are eligible for membership. The VCOG is currently made up of the cities of Ansonia, Derby, Seymour and Shelton. In addition, the VCOG administers the Regional Brownfields Program for the nineteen municipalities of Ansonia, Beacon Falls, Berlin, Bristol, Burlington, Derby, Naugatuck, New Britain, Newtown, Oxford, Plainville, Plymouth, Seymour, Shelton, Southington, Thomaston, Waterbury, Watertown and Woodbury.

Seymour clearly recognizes the importance of economic growth in the community. The town has approximately 200 acres of affordable, raw land designated for commercial or industrial development use. This community also places a strong emphasis on creating and retaining jobs. Currently, there are over 3,500 jobs in the town, with an aggressive plan to enhance that number.
