Planning & Development
As Valley Council of Governments' municipalities face the ongoing challenges of administering local governments and guiding the development, conservation and preservation of communities, VCOG's Community Development initiatives include a wide range of activities to meet local needs. Community Development projects cover diverse topics: housing, land use, zoning, data management, cooperative purchasing, and technical assistance on municipal service issues. Our responsibilities include work mandated by the State Statutes and other projects pursued at the direction of the VCOG Board, Regional Planning Commission and Municipal Boards and Commissions.
